Background
Tohri was established in December 1976. For almost 40 years, we have been engaged in the import and sale of APIs in Japan.
Tohri was established when Japan had just resumed diplomatic relations with China. We went out to China independently and formed alliances with local pharmaceutical manufacturers. The company started out manufacturing APIs at partner plants in China to secure a stable supply of fertility drug APIs.
In those days, fertility treatment was a hugely problematic area. Today, however, drug quality is also much improved, thanks to medical and scientific advances and ongoing research.
